Frequently Asked Questions

Why are diffusers more expensive than candles?

There is three times more scent in a diffuser than a candle. A diffuser is scenting your home 24 hours a day every day.

How long will my diffuser last?

At least 10 weeks.

Do I need to flip the diffuser reeds?

No, these are Porex eReeds and are designed not to clog. Porex eReeds offer a modern alternative that uses cutting edge science whilst retaining the look and feel we love. We do recommend after six weeks to flip them once a week, for optimum performance.

Are the diffusers re-fillable?

JoJo Co. does not provide a refill system at present. Fresh reeds would be required upon a refill as after 10 weeks they are completely saturated and do not diffuse the scent as effectively.

Why are the Candles made of soy?

JoJo Co. candles are made from soy wax, which is a processed form of soybean oil. We uses soy wax as it is cleaner burning, has no toxins, carcinogens or pollutants which means it is less likely to trigger allergies. No petrol-carbon soot like you get from petroleum-based paraffin candles. Soy Candles are longer lasting, the wax burns cooler which means that you can enjoy your soy wax candle for generally 30-50% longer than a paraffin candle.

Are the products vegan friendly?

Yes, our candles and diffusers are NOT tested on animals and contain NO animal fats.

What can I do with the jar after the candle is finished?

These can be easily cleaned and used for other uses you may have or recycled.

Can I send a candle or diffuser as a gift?

Yes, they can be sent direct to the recipient. You need to include the recipients name and address when prompted during the ordering process. Your chosen message will be handwritten on a gift tag and attached to the gift bag.

Do I have to trim the wick?

Trimming the wicks will keep the candle burning without any black soot and it will give your candle a longer burn time.  Trim your wick after each burn, trim ideally to ¼ inch.

How can I ensure my candle burns evenly?

The first burn is the most important - the candle wax must pool to the edge on the initial burn. We always like to remind people that wax has memory, meaning that if your candle doesn't burn to the edges, it will begin to tunnel and won't burn evenly the next time. We recommend a minimum two hour first burn on all our 65 hour candles.
